Registration

Follow the steps in order to register on Bitvalex:

  1. Go to Bitvalex.com
  2. Click on the button “Sign up” in the upper right corner of the site
  3. Enter your email, username and password and click “Sign up”
  4. You will receive an email with an activation link. Go check your email and click on the activation link
  5. Return to Bitvalex.com and log in with your username and password
  6. Welcome to Bitvalex!

In order for your registration to be successful, you need to:

  1. Provide an active and working email address;
  2. Be at least 18 years old.

Your password must be a minimum of 6 characters but less than 64 long and must include at least:

  • 1 upper case letter;
  • 1 lower case letter;
  • 1 digit;
  • 1 special character: !"#$%&'()*+,-./:;<=>[email protected][\]^_`{|}~.

 In case you don’t see an email with an activation link in your inbox after registration, please do the following:

  • Check your spam box;
  • Make sure you have written your email correctly.

If you have done the checking and still haven’t found the email in your mailbox, please contact us at [email protected] or via the support system from your profile.

To open a Corporate Account you need to provide information and documentation on your company, its Ultimate Beneficial Owners and everybody that will have access to your Bitvalex corporate account. Please, contact [email protected] for more details about the requirements.

Verification

There are three different verification levels:

  1. KYC Level - Unverified - the most basic account, which allows you to deposits and withdraw cryptocurrencies only.
  2. KYC Level - Verified - this type of account enables fiat deposits, withdrawals, and trading and increases the overall funding limits. Depending on your country of residence, you might not be able to deal with fiat, even if your account is verified.
  3. KYC Level - Corporate - this is only available for corporate accounts; if you verify your corporate account, you can deal with both crypto and fiat.

1. In order to pass the verification process you need to provide:

  • First name;
  • Last name;
  • Email;
  • Phone number;
  • Date of birth;
  • Country and address of residence.

2. Additionally, in order to verify your full name you must provide a scanned copy or a photo of one of the following documents:

  • ID card (both sides);
  • Passport (all relevant pages)

Documents that are not accepted for ID verification:

  • Voter ID;
  • Residence Permit;
  • Health Insurance Cards;
  • Company-Issued ID Cards;
  • Student ID Cards;
  • Drivers License;

Document requirements:

  • Clear colorful image;
  • Min size 800x600 pixels;
  • Documents must not contain any hidden details;
  • Photo or scanned copy of your document must be of high quality (your face must be clearly visible, any text and numbers must be readable);
  • Document must not be altered or edited in any way;
  • Document must contain the date of expiry;
  • Data in your Profile and in the provided document must match.

3. As a proof of your address, you are required to upload one of the following documents:

  • Bank statement;
  • Utility bills (gas, water, electricity, landline telephone);

Document requirements for proof of address:

  • Clear colorful image;
  • Min size 800x600 pixels;
  • Document must not be older than 3 months;
  • Document must clearly show your full name, address, and the date;
  • Document must contain signature (of the place-holder), seal, barcode, or QR code;
  • Documents must be a hard copy, not an online/e-bill;
  • Photo or scanned copy of your document must be of high quality (any text and numbers must be readable);
  • Documents must not contain any hidden details;
  • Address in your profile and in the provided document must match;

4. To verify your identity, you need to upload a photo of you holding the ID in your hand. The document should be held next to your face for comparison.

In order to open a corporate account, you need to fill in a questionnaire and to provide the following documents:

  • Articles/Memorandum of Incorporation;
  • Bank statement not older than 3 months stating the company address;
  • AML/KYC policy (applicable only if your company has AML/KYC policy);
  • ID card/passport and proof of address - utility bill or a bank statement for all shareholders with more than 25% ownership;
  • Certificate of Incorporation and Articles/Memorandum of Incorporation of legal entities that have at least 10% ownership (if applicable);
  • A letter on company letterhead which is signed by the board of directors, CEO, managing director, or significant control owner indicating who has authority to trade on behalf of the company, including each trader's full name, company role, email, physical address, nationality, and any personal Bitvalex accounts they may have. Please attach their ID card or passport.

The processing times vary depending on the type of verification.

  • Unverified - immediately after signing up;
  • Verified - Personal - usually within 24 hours after submission of the required information;
  • Verified - Corporate - usually 1 to 5 days after submission of the required information.

We try our best to verify your account within 24 hours. Please have in mind that at times of high volume, there might be delays. Please note that contacting support multiple times within the usual 5-day period for verification would not speed up the process and will put additional strain on our team.

In order to verify your account, you need to provide a photo of you holding your ID card/passport and a handwritten piece of paper with the current date, "bitvalex.com" text, and your signature.

Your ID document must be close to your face for a successful face recognition. It must not be hidden by your hair, fingers, etc. You can hold the ID card/passport and the written paper in either of your hands (there is no problem to have them both in one hand) as long as both are clearly visible and not hiding your face.

If you have mistaken some of your data, please contact us at [email protected] or via the support system from your profile.

It is currently not possible to create multiple accounts or sub-accounts. One person or one business must have only one account.

If you wish to deactivate your account, no matter for what reasons, please contact us at [email protected] or via the support system from your profile.

The deletion or destruction requests of both your Account and Personal Information will be reviewed and processed only where this is not inconsistent with legal and regulatory obligations.
